"Battle Song" Outline

This is the outline for my analysis of the song "Battle Song" by Lecrae

Battle Song Outline

-“I was taylored to snatch the mic Swiftly like Kanye did”

-“They can kill us now, go get the yellow tape, hey put me six feet in the ground and watch the great escape”
Ascension into heaven after death

- “Plenty Faith in the persecution is inventory, I’ve been spit in the face, kicked out many a place just for sharing my faith”

Matthew 5:10-12
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.  Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
2nd Timothy 3:12
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted

-  “My Belt Tight, Shoes Laced, plus a breast Plate, My war helmet on, now I’ve got my head straight"
The Armor of God
Belt of Truth
Feet fitted with the readiness that comes with the gospel of peace
Breast Plate of Righteousness
Helmet of Salvation

- “And if they drop us this promise we’ll take it to the grave, that tonight we may die, but to die is our gain.”
Phillipians 1:21
For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain
Live for the glory of God and die to move on to paradise.

-  “And yeah though I walk through the valley of the dead, ya my hope still remains”
Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

- Ephesians 6:10-17
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
